What is the Continuing and Distance Education Program?
The Continuing and Distance Education Program is a resource for eligible adult tribal members and has no service area requirement. This program is for Cow Creek Tribal members who are interested in completing a certificate program, 2 year degree program, 4 year degree program, master’s degree and doctorate degree program.
Can I attend school part-time with the Continuing and Distance Education Program?
Students have the flexibility to take from 1 to 7 credits each quarter/semester.
Do I need to apply for financial aid to apply for this program?
Students are not required to apply for financial aid to receive assistance.
Will the Continuing and Distance Education Program help me with all of my education costs?
Students are only eligible for tuition, books and fees up to the cap amount set by the Tribal Board of Directors.
If I have utilized Continuing and Distance Education previously can I apply to the program again?
Tribal members can only use the 2 year degree program, bachelor’s degree program, master’s degree program and doctorate program one time. Once a student obtains their 2 year degree funding will only be considered for a bachelor’s degree program and so on.
How do I utilize the Continuing and Distance Education Program?
To be considered for assistance through the Continuing and Distance Education Program, Tribal members must submit a completed Continuing and Distance Education Application including a written statement of educational goals and plans, a copy of the degree program and required classes, any high school/GED transcripts and completed college transcripts (if attended previously).
When is the application due?
The completed Continuing and Distance Program Application and required documentation must be submitted one month before the program starts.
