Umpqua Indian Development Corp. recently purchased Roseburg-based Creative Images Printing to provide printing and Internet support for the corporation.

Creative Images on Northeast Airport Road was established in 1977 and produces color brochures, books, Web site design, letterhead and other business documents. The client base is local, national and international.

"We've probably done business with just about everyone in town at one time or another," said Paul Zegers, former owner of the design and print company.

He has agreed to continue to manage the business for the foreseeable future. The company's international clientele includes AT&T as well as Freightliner.

"We will continue to provide high quality service to our current and our many new customers, plus support the UIDC business. For us, it is business as usual," he said.

Umpqua Indian Development Corp. is the business arm of Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians. The Cow Creek tribal office is in Roseburg, but the tribe is most visible along Interstate 5 in Canyonville, where it operates Seven Feathers Hotel and Casino Resort.

"Design and printing are necessary functions for support of the other UIDC businesses," said Wayne Shammel, Tribal attorney. "We're pleased have this new capability on board."

Umpqua Indian Development has added high-speed Internet connection to Creative Images as well as other equipment to increase the company's ability to design and maintain Web sites. Additional employees are also being added to the current staff of eight.
