Local businesses do so much to help this community. Not only do they provide jobs that contribute to the economy, they also help nonprofit organizations survive.Three companies were recognized Monday with Business Building Community Awards for their efforts in aiding nonprofits.
Creative Images, Cascade Community Credit Union and Macy’s were the winners in the small, midsize and large categories, respectively.
The awards acknowledge direct financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteerism by the business owners or by staff on company time.
It’s notable that there were plenty of other businesses that also received honorable mentions and nominations.
The work of these businesses make Douglas County a better place.
It’s good to see the Greater Douglas United Way, Douglas County Nonprofit Coalition and Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce bring the support of these businesses to light.
